The Oregon Department of Forestry will conduct a five-year review of its program over the next year. The process will begin with a field tour on May 10th, where new Review Committee Members will meet each other and get to know a little more about how the program works while touring prescribed burn sites in the Coast Range of the Western Lane district.
The tour will be followed by several meetings over the course of 2012 and 2013, discussing identified issues and topics that will update the smoke management rule and directive. Meeting dates, times and location will be posted in advance on this website. The public is welcome to attend.
